System Administrator – Level 1 - NIGHT SHIFT

Responsabilities :

  • Administer our customers' servers and provide them with immediate assistance
  • Identify and solve problems on the servers: DNS, security (spam, DDoS, firewalls), performance tuning, Apache, IIS, MySQL, control panels (Plesk and Cpanel)
  • Manage emergencies involving unreachable servers (commonly called "downs")
  • Provide unparallelled customer service by phone and email
  • Prioritize requests to be addressed, and tickets
  • Escalate tickets to your level 2 and 3 colleagues as necessary in order to meet resolution deadlines
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing by writing articles for our knowledge base and our documentation system.
  • Act as a liaison between technical support and other departments

Technical skills and abilities:

  • Skills in Linux (Apache, MySQL, DNS), CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu;
  • Skills in Windows administration (IIS, Sql server), Windows 2008, 2012, 2016;
  • Hardware knowledge
  • knowledge of software RAID (Linux et Windows);
  • Networking knowledge
  • Knowledge IOS / Junos OS
  • Determination to provide excellent customer service
  • Good clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing - English and French Spanish is a big plus

Qualifications and work expetience:

  • 1 – 2 years experience with Linux and Windows servers
  • DEC or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
